As Vermont's blanket of snow slips away, Spring arrives in its place, warming the ground and calling out to dormant plants to finally wake. Iris is one of the first to answer the call, poking out its leaf tips, looking for the sun. Iris stand purposefully in their fan of leaves, pointing to the sky, gaining in strength and height as the sun prevails.
They divide easy, they are gorgeous in groups where they stand like a choir singing their colorful delicate blooms for all to see. Their gorgeous blooms must take a lot of energy to master as they never last long before the Iris lets them go and instead provides you with only its large stately leaves instead, that will take you into Fall.
